1956 Champion Hockey Team in Brown St. Arena. Manager - George Fletcher. Back - Wayne McConnell, Bruce Canon, Glen Wilson, Jim Knight, Don Currie, Jim Ellison, John Howarth. Front - Jim Peddie, Jerry Paupst, Bill Brush, Gary Ellwood, Doug Peddie.

      My G G Grandfather was James Peddie. His tombstone reads:
      James Peddie born 1807 in Perthshire, Scotland died Feb 25th1843, buried at Boston Church, Esquesing Township, Halton County by his son William.

      He Moved to Canada around 1831 and married Isabella McGregor. They had 4 sons:

      * William
      * David
      * James
      * Peter
      * and maybe a daughter Isabella

      My Great Grandfather Peter Peddie was born in Canada in 1840 and died Apr 19th 1917. He married Mary Downie (1843-1930) and they lived in Halton County, Ontario Canada, and had 5 sons and 2 daughters.

      Grandfather James Peddie was born Nov 01st 1868 and died Apr 21st 1918. He married Ella Moore (1878-1954) and had 4 sons and 4 daughters. My Father John Milton Peddie was born on Jan 30th 1917 and is still living. He married Harriet McKenzie (1913-1947) and had 2 sons:

      * Jim and
      * Doug (me). I was born Nov 28th 1940

      I would like to know of any Peddies in the Perthshire area or if anyone thinks they are related would be glad to hear from them

    PJ Peddie think possibly once so ,my grandparents died before ma and dad married ,remember reading old news stuffed in the kitchen cubbords makes me think so and dad knew how to make home made moonshine

    Kim Peddie McKinnon Yes.....all whiskey drinkers LOL....Rye mostly....I myself love a wee shot of Drambuie. Our general comment is that if you are a good drinker you must be a Peddie!
